meeting our mission, we envisage Rockingham to be an environment
which most of us grew up in. The setting is a natural one with
greenery of all kinds abounding, and each member of the Rockingham
'family', who is able, has a part in maintaining this living
environment.
Our residents feel like part of our extended family, and share their
joys, sorrows, hopes, dreams and fears, in a supportive environment.
We encourage all our participants to feel a sense of belonging, to
be an active participant, and to share in our emphasis on living and
doing, rather than on illness and disability. Our residents share a
sense of purpose, belonging, meaning and control. |
