A Day in the Life ...

Life's pretty busy as a resident of Rockingham.  There's lots to be involved in, so we thought we'd give you a light-hearted overview of 'A Day in the Life' of a resident.  As you'll find out, there's not time for 'dilly dally' if you're going to be involved!

Wake up time and a cup of tea made by our carers. Good morning! Nothing like a walk before breakfast to enjoy the beautiful weather here and breathe in the fresh sea air. Breakfast time in the Dining Room with music and the jovial staff to put a smile on our faces.

Cup of Tea

Exercising No time for dilly dally; collect the papers from the front reception and have a yarn with the admin staff. Then it's off to do our exercises with Marina before Morning Tea.
There are plenty of activities to participate in until lunch: Hoy or Bingo, Craft, Indoor Bowls, reading or walking along the beach.  After lunch if you need some quiet time there are plenty of arbours to sit and reflect, or listen to the birds or a quiet nap in the rooms. Restful Afternoon
Pay TV, pay phone and Computer Austar provides a range of movies to watch or documentary programs, with a movie night held monthly.
Afternoons:another range of activities being held - it's cards today, but there's always something to get involved in.

The Rockingham Bus

Today we are off on an outing to Murray Falls.

Our bus regularly commutes to the local shops for our shoppers.

The Canteen is open today so there's time to stock up on those lollies for the great grandchildren when they visit.

Lollies for our Grandkids

Dinner in the Dining Room is a time to catch up with other residents on the happenings of the day. In the evening I might write that email to my daughter in Melbourne and then listen to music in the lounge. A game of canasta is in progress and other residents are watching a movie: its time for supper and then off to bed.  What a day!
Tomorrow we can look forward to lunch at Rockingham Café and Happy Hour.
