With the help of
volunteers from the 'Cardwell Seaside Quilters
the residents created a quilt 'Home is
Where the Heart
Is' (from A P
& Q Vol 5 Nos 3
& 4).
It now hangs with pride in the dining
room at Rockingham where it is continually
admired by visitors.
Our craft mornings are popular with our ladies and many items are made for the resident's stall at the Annual Spring Fair.

Monthly sing-a-longs
are a great way to blast out those old favourites with the local choir and visiting musicians and signers.
Local school children visit Rockingham and entertain the
residents regularly.

Hoy, bingo and
card games are popular with our residents,
and our volunteers are always handy to include in a hand of cards.
We also have monthly quiz games and weekly carpet bowls.

Our annual Spring Fair
will be held on 14 August 2004 . The fair
is a major fundraiser and the residents assist with crafts, potting plants
and other items that can be sold.
Twice
monthly outings are organised with the local bus
company or Rockingham’s bus
to visit local tourist spots,
take a cruise to Hinchinbrook Island, or have
morning tea overlooking the beautiful islands and Hinchinbrook
Channel.

| We will also be having an extra Spring Fair this year to coincide with our 20th Anniversary Celebrations. We will hold a presentation night in August (for our elderly who for one reason or another were unable to make their debut). |
